Born in Poland, I graduated at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun with a degree in Paper and Leather Conservation. For 24 years, I worked as a conservator in the National Museum in Cracow. During this time I had little opportunity for regular artistic activity.

In 2019 I moved to the UK and since then I have been spending much more time exploring new possibilities in handprinting. As a distraction from the “printing mess” around my studio, I make copies of medieval illumination where the patience and experience of a restorer comes to the fore.

2021 – group exhibition “The Spectre of Print; a Celebration of Ghosts”, The inPrint Collective Studio, Toronto, Canada (the ghosts of “Summertime in Blue”, “Trees – Colour Study” and “Humphrey Head”).

2022 – Manchester Open Exhibition, HOME. (Monotype “Sailing Boats II”)

2022 – illustrations for the bilingual, Polish-Ukrainian book “Ira w Krainie Bocianów/Ipинка в Крaїнi Лeлeк” by Emma Boo.

2023 – Open 2023, Bury Art Museum (“Springwater Park” – watercolour)

2024 – Manchester Open Exhibition, HOME. (“In Black & Blue” – mixed media)
